"A Thirty Month Clinical Experience in Natural Family Planning."

| The results of a two and one-half year NFP program describing program effectiveness rates are presented. In this study, predominantly married couples were taught NFP and a 74% acceptor rate is reported. 444 women were studied. Using a Life Table Analysis, an 18.2% pregnancy rate over a 12 month period of time was realized. Kambic describes the type of clinical education program used including a presentation of both symptothermal and ovulation methods, personal, telephone and mail-in-chart follow up instruction. The general approach of using a center with satellite teaching sites for providing NFP in a small urban and rural community is described. |
